At the onset of the pandemic, insurance companies made it extremely difficult for customers to receive insurance payouts due to border closures, travel advisories, and or local/city ordinances by labeling Covid-19 as a “forseen” event. This can be confusing to navigate for customers looking to book travel, with the flexibility to cancel if needed. We have stepped up to partner with a premier insurance agency to ensure that you have the ability to insure 100% of your trip investment at an affordable rate starting at $150pp.*

This coverage gives you trip insurance and trip protection allows you to cancel for any reason Cheaper insurance options may be available elsewhere, but you will not be able to cancel for any reason for a 100% refund. Please note that border closings and travel ordinances are not covered without the “cancel for any reason Insurance upgrade.”

When you cancel you will fall into one of the 3 buckets below:

  1. Cancel for a “covered” reason due to an unforeseen event for a 100% payout (50+ covered reasons including but not limited to sickness , injury, job relocation, and job loss)

    • A member on our team will assist with your cancellation inquiry

  2. Cancel for “ANY” reason for 50% refund of trip payments to date no matter how many payments you have made (excludes the cost of insurance and $50 booking fee)

  3. Cancel for “ANY” reason for a 100% payout by completing the payment requirements for your designated trip (excludes the cost of insurance and $50 booking fee)

Please note that all flights are purchased directly with the Airline for your convenience. All refunds for the air portion of your flight will be refunded in the form of a travel credit directly with the Airline that is good for 1-year from the date you cancel.


How Our Process Works:

  1. Secure cancel for any reason insurance with your initial payment towards the trip.

    • Registration is your initial payment

  2. Submit a cancellation request to info@getup2go.com

  3. Receive direction on whether or not your claim is covered 100% or if you need to rely on the “Cancel for ANY Reason” benefit

    • Receive insurance payout

      • Insurance payouts from the third party insurer will come in the form of a check sent directly to the insured party NOT Get Up 2 Go

      • Insurance match payouts from Get Up 2 Go will be processed to the cardholder on file

Disclaimers:

*Insurance payout does not cover the cost of the insurance (starting at $150 pp)

*Trips are not eligible for insurance match program (100% refund) for “cancel for any reason” within 60 days of departure as the trip will be in full penalty, the claim will be limited to 50% and must be paid in full to qualify.

*Customers who qualify for the insurance match program will receive 50% from the insurance company and 50% (match) upon proof of receipt from the insurer.

*Insurance processing takes place 15 - 20 days from the initial cancellation date.

*Cash payouts are limited to the resort/service portion of all trips, Airline tickets are credited in the form of a travel credit directly with the Airline.

*If an airline ticket is included in your package, the value of the ticket must be pre-paid prior to cancellation in addition to a flat $100 airline booking fee and insurance fee $150 if the trip has not been paid in full.

*Insurance policy coverage packages vary in price by factoring state of residence, age, gender, and the total cost of your trip amount. Total insurance cost may vary based upon the aforementioned factors.

*Our insurance program is intended to cover guest who cancel for any reason and only receive a 50% payout from the third party Insurance agency. Insurance payouts from the third party must be verified prior to disbursement of funds from Get Up 2 Go.

*We do not guarantee that everyone who purchases insurance will have a successful claim. We use a third party insurance broker and the insurance payout is at the discretion of the officer that reviews your claim.
